Genesis 13 -- again, the Promise to the Chosen

Abram and his nephew Lot had become so wealthy during Sarai's faux marriage to the Pharaoh, that they had too many animals and slaves to support in one location. So, they split up. Lot to the East, Abram to the West.

After Lot leaves, God re-promises Canaan to Abram and his descendants. "Forever."
