Matthew 28
Three days later, a couple female friends of Jesus went to visit the tomb. As they arrived, another powerful earthquake struck Jerusalem, and the tomb broke apart. An angel told the women that Jesus had arisen from the dead, but that he'd gone ahead to the safe house in Galilee, where he would receive them and his Disciples. The women ran off to alert the scattered and hidden Disciples, who assembled at the safe house. ----- The Temple priests hatched a rumor that the Disciples stole the body of Jesus so they could claim he'd been resurrected. ----- Then the Eleven Disciples went to Galilee, to the safe house where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him from afar, most immediately dropped to the ground and worshiped him; but some doubted it was really Jesus. Then Jesus came over to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make Disciples of all, in every nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Do not question that I am with you always, until the very End of the World!" With that, Jesus disappeared from their sight. He has not been seen since.
